Buxton Adventure Festival

Heason Events is an event organiser responsible for the Buxton Adventure Festival, as well as the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival and Cliffhanger, among others.

In November 2015, the Buxton Adventure Festival (BAF) switched from an annual event to a new, mini-festival format. This consists of ten smaller events spread throughout the year, each with its own headline speaker, support speaker, film and audiovisual presentation.

The event speakers are trailblazers in mountaineering, running, cycling, kayaking, climbing and a multitude of other adventurous activities. They each deliver talks to audiences of like-minded adventure seekers at the Buxton Opera House Pavilion Arts Centre, in the heart of the Peak District.

Heason Events brought Schofield Communications on board to promote the

new format and each of the individual events, which are roughly once a month, with breaks in July and December. This consisted of regular PR, organic social media activity, e-newsletter development, and copywriting services.
