Goodbye 2022. Hello 2023.

2022 is coming to a close. And what a year it has been.


I wanted to write a quick post to say thank you to my clients for another amazing year. We've achieved great things together. Hundreds of newspaper articles, radio and TV interviews, web stories, and more. Dozens of blogs, advertorials, newsletters, profiles, magazine copy, and the list goes on.


As a freelance PR and copywriter, I can safely say no two days are the same. There's always a unique story to tell. A new way to look at an old subject. A fresh way to explore a previously mapped topic.


With 2023 just around the corner, I'm delighted to welcome a new client on board, who we'll start work with in January. December saw us pitch for the exciting year-long copywriting contract, with the news of us winning coming as an early Christmas present.


I'm also extremely pleased to say one of our long-standing clients, who we've been working with for seven years, has renewed their contract with Schofield Communications - so we will continue to provide copywriting services in 2023 and beyond.


The start of the New Year will also see several long overdue face-to-face client meetings. Since the pandemic, meetings have predominantly been through Teams, but there's something to be said for sitting around a table, sharing a plate of mince pies (hopefully they won't all have gone by then) and a pot of tea, while discussing plans for the year ahead.


I suppose I should close out this blog with a New Year's resolution - and that would be to make more use of this blog. I'll try my best to update it on a more regular basis.
